If you find yourself wondering why the band has a thing for owls, you're not alone. People have asked Andonia (or Andi, as she is known by friends & family) this question since she was little. The truth is, the owl represents her spirit guide.. it is the heart of her strength, wisdom, and freedom. Owls have become a symbol for the band because of these reasons and because of the band's appreciation for being at the top of their game.. just like the owl.

Andonia was born and raised in Dallas, TX. Officially a quarter of a century old, she has seen a little bit of everything. Her travels have taken her throughout the country and into South America, and the music she makes keeps her company where ever she goes.

Andonia Layr has played Time Square in the pouring rain, sang Jazz Improv in California, and composed & recorded one of her best songs in an apartment bathroom within hours of meeting the guitar player on the song. She is a self taught artist in every respect and has developed a definitive style over the years.  Throughout her childhood, Andi would spend time enveloped by her surroundings, soaking in any inspiration that would come her way. She would often sit in a tree for hours with a notebook (or a comic book) or sit in a meadow with her guitar. Her first band was at the age of 13 and played mostly Nirvana covers, but from there she pursued different styles of original music and has played in bands ranging from Acoustic Pop to Rock to Reggae, Ska & Dub. Andonia has several years of stage performance experience and looks forward to the day when she can pack up and go on tour.

When she was 11, she went to an open call for models and got invited to the regional call for Metropolitan Modeling Company. She spent her 12th birthday with almost 6000 strangers and was one of the 15 finalists for the entire event. From there she pursued different avenues of modeling and has had the opportunity to study the art from both the model's and the photographer's perspective. Andonia has a natural eye for lighting and brings as much edge and energy to her modeling as she does with music or any other aspect of her life.

Andi is currently a Bartender/Server in Downtown Dallas and takes the idea of  music and modeling as her full time career very seriously. She is also pursuing an undergraduate degree in Biology and plans to earn her teacher certification (mostly for good measure). She lives in N. Oak Cliff, is an avid motorcyclist (2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 500 LTD), and goes on adventures
outside of Dallas as often as possible.
